Automatic Spanish captions now accessible in YouTube
News on YouTube Marketing, according to The Official YouTube Blog, as YouTube works to be accessible and enjoyable to the whole world, it is expanding its language accessibility by adding automatic captions in Spanish. A “CC” button will appear in the bottom of the player when a video speech is recognizable, which will automatically add captions of the video in Spanish by clicking the “Transcribe Audio” found in the icon.
It aims to make everyone, in every language, have the same opportunity to enjoy YouTube. It got more than 1 trillion views or about 140 views for every person last year.
With new videos added everyday, auto-captions are available on over 157 million videos. Spanish speakers in the world will now be able to view this newest auto-caption feature by YouTube, in addition to its other existing languages of English, Korean and Japanese.
Combining auto-captions with auto-translate feature to create subtitles in more than 50 languages allow viewers to see YouTube videos in even more languages. Time coded captions will automatically be created for creators who upload a Spanish transcript to their video. Automatic captions can also be downloaded from the Video Manager.

Significant Rise of Consumers Watching Web Videos
News on Social Marketing, according to Brafton News, Americans using the web in watching videos is growing significantly with nearly a quarter viewing them on the web from some connected device more than once every day.
Nielsen reported that video content consumption has increased substantially with 13% watch web videos at least once per day. A great part of the growth is due to the number of web-connected devices consumers interact with every day.
The report revealed that 36% of consumers all over the world own a smartphone with 21% consume video content on their smartphones more than once per day.
Tablets do not have a significant contribution just yet with 72% saying they have not used one to watch video in the last 30 days. Though, at some point in the month, 28% have accessed video content using a tablet and 4% said they do so more than once every day.
With Americans viewing more than 10 billion video ads in May, video content marketing has become a format that can easily get to the audience and make video’s growth almost certain.

Video Captions now readable through Auto Translate
News on Social Marketing, according to The Official YouTube Blog, to help uploaders gain a much wider range of audience, captions and subtitles were added to YouTube videos in August.
However, even as captions were offered in as many different languages as possible, only a few translated versions are usually available. Because of this, a new “auto translate” feature was added to address these problem. Google Translate gives real-time machine translation to any uploaded caption tracks.
To view the captions menu, go to the bottom-right arrow and then move the mouse over to the small triangle, next to the CC icon. To choose from the different languages available, just click on the “Translate…” button. Now you can enjoy this video spoken in Italian, even if you don’t understand Italian.
Auto translate helps almost everybody to understand a creator’s video. For as long as you add captions to your video in one language, it will be readable to almost everybody through the auto translate.
