Pinterest approaches 20 million users per month
News on Social Marketing, according to Jeffbullas.com, a report by AppData shows that in the month of March, visual social network Pinterest had received 4.4 million daily active users. Users of Pinterest have a significant increase as shown by a Compete.com report that it had received 18 million unique visitors in March.
Pinterest gives marketers a platform that is easy to use for “pinning” images, photos and videos to your Pinterest account while at the same time, also posting and sharing to your networks to Twitter and Facebook. The effort and friction to share images on the social web is likewise reduced with Pinterest.
Because low friction sharing includes links back to the original sharing location, products of online stores such as gift stores, boutiques, homewares and fashion will become more highly visual and are more likely to be shared.
Pinterest has now become so powerful because of visual sharing as shown on a research on Facebook, that photos are shared 50 percent more than any other types of updates.
Lately, Pinterest has been getting a lot of attention as its network approaches 20 million users every month.
