December is still a long way to go but for any true Tolkien fan, Middle-Earth is all year round.   Following up their most recent success in the second installment of the film adaptation of the Hobbit, the Desolation of Smaug, fans are in for a treat this coming December, as the last of another epic trilogy from award-winning director Peter Jackson comes to a close.

The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies is the third installment in the Hobbit movie franchise, which has continued the legacy of the cinema success of the Lord of the Rings.   In this Follow Friday, you need to get your hands on these actors’ profiles and see how such brilliant wizards and warriors are actually just your everyday celebrities from time to time.

Sir Ian McKellen (@IanMcKellen) is by all means a sir. Knighted by the Queen herself, the British gentleman is an open homosexual and gay rights activist who has appeared in a multitude of movies , bringing to life the personas of your favorite book characters from Harry Potter’s Dumbledore to the X-Men Universe’s Magneto.   Reprising his role as the lovable and wise Gandalf the Wizard, the Englishman is set for another sword fight with spells and magical swords this December.   Follow him on his page to get updates and more.

From wizards to hobbits, Martin Freeman (@Marfrman) is another British actor who takes on the main role of Bilbo Baggins in the Hobbit franchise.   An upstart actor who made his debut in the television series Sherlock, he has since wowed audiences with his charm and character.

A big first for the actor, the Hobbit movies are just another step into his starting Hollywood career and already he has gathered a fan base to be rivaled and envied, surpassing a number of English actors in terms of the sheer number of squealing ladies asking for his autograph.

The entire franchise is just packed with Englishmen nowadays, isn’t it ?   For the last on our list, we have Richard Armitage(@RCArmitage), who plays the moody, clandestine King Under the Mountain, Thorin OakinShield.   Since his television series acting days, the actor has played several small roles in Hollywood, popping in and out of movies as extras or side characters.   Only when the opportunity to play one of the most memorable characters in Middle-Earth mythology came did the actor really set his sights on a spotlight on the big screen.   He is yet to disappoint as the third installment is to be released.

Growing up as a fan of the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings books, he says that this is a dream come true for him.    Since then, he has taken on several leading roles in different movies in and out of Hollywood.

With all the hype this early into the Hollywood year, the Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies, is sure to have a long line in-waiting.   Stay updated with the latest news from these amazing actors; get your map of Middle-Earth ready – you’re going on an adventure !
