Facebook’s 1.6 Billion Visits in April and Nearly 229 million daily

News on Facebook Marketing, according to Brafton News, Experian Hitwise reported that a large amount of time spent by Americans on Facebook, comprises 9% of all website visits in the United States, emphasizing the platform’s significance to any business’ social media marketing campaign.

With the increase of Americans creating accounts and company developing its features and capability, the growth of Facebook’s traffic has been maintained. Facebook averaging to 1.6 billion visits in April and 229 million daily was revealed by Experian.

Marketers believe that Facebook’s stable growth in both traffic and active accounts made it more attractive and significant tool for social, generating a more competitive space for businesses and users sharing content on the platform.

Los Angeles Times reported that Facebook’s IPO which is the second largest American IPO ever begins at $38 per share. Facebook’s surpassing 900 million users worldwide was reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission as a preparation for the IPO.

Facebook Will Become Obsolete as New Social Networks Emerge

Associated Press and CNBC disclose that 51% of Americans favor Facebook, but 46% predicted its fall with the coming of new social networks. To keep up with the changing social landscape, marketers should consider the value in creating cross-platform social marketing campaigns. Despite the contradiction, 43% believe Facebook’s success will continue in the coming years.

Although some expressed their dissatisfaction with Google’s recent privacy adjustments, 71% remain supportive and still use Google with plans of moving forward.

A corresponding number of consumers are Apple and Microsoft believer, While Twitter is the least favored, with 27% of respondents having high regard on the microblogging site.

However, Twitter continues being the top choice for businesses’ social media marketing campaigns despite the negative poll result. According to Brafton, 96% among the top 250 ecommerce vendors on the web maintain Twitter presences. Furthermore, 35% think that Twitter has influenced purchases compared to Facebook’s 23.5% who’s impacted their buying decisions.

Growing Tablet Ownership, Increases News Access and Enterprise Adoption

News on Social Marketing, according to Brafton News, Adobe Systems reported that mobile web traffic generated by tablets is about to surpass traffic from smartphones by early 2013, making tablets soon to be preferred computing devices for providing an equally engaging and easy web experience.

As tablet ownership increases, both news access and enterprise adoption increase as well which help marketers drive traffic.

Traffic from iPads and other devices has risen 10 times faster than website visits from smartphones. The devices’ share of website traffic is likely to reach 10% of all traffic in 2014.

According to Brafton, tablets’ soaring news consumption may influence brands’ content marketing campaigns if they hope to reach this growing audience.

With tablets’ growth for web browsing, desktop and laptop computers are used three times as often as tablets.

Brafton reported that tablet’s popularity increases as an in-home computing device, with over 424 million active handsets by 2017.
