Social CTAs Could Spark Engagement among Facebook Page Fans and Visitors

News on Facebook Marketing, according to HubSpot: using calls-to-action (CTAs) is very important for marketers who are using social media for marketing. Marketers know that for their audience to take a specific action, they actually have to ask them to do it, through blog articles, email, on landing pages or in display ads.

A research in using calls-to-action in social media shows that tweets that include the call-to-action phrase “please retweet” gets 4x more retweets. Other social networks, like Facebook, have also been impacted by CTA.

A study to the more than 1.2 million Facebook posts from the top 10,000 most Liked Facebook Pages was conducted to determine the success of different types of CTA phrases on Facebook. The study shows that Facebook posts that included the words “like,” “comment,” or “share tend to get more of the specific action they referenced compared to posts that didn’t include those words.

It is best to remember that all marketers wants is to be rewarded with greater visibility in users’ News Feeds. And this “engagement” will be rewarded by Facebook’s EdgeRank algorithm on your Facebook posts that attracts a lot of engagement in terms of actions such as Likes, shares, and comments.

Experimenting with social CTAs in your Facebook posts could help you increase the reach of your content on Facebook. Engagement among your Facebook Page fans and visitors could increase if you use CTA phrases like “leave a comment/Like this post/share this post if …”

Retail Brands Need to Keep Their Customers Happy Especially During the Holiday Seasons

News on Social Marketing, according to Emailvision: a total $586.1 billion is predicted by The National Retail Federation for the 2012 holiday spending in the US. That is why, retail brands will have to work hard to keep their customers happy and loyal especially with the attractive offers being presented in the competitive market.

According to an online YouGov survey, 53% of adults online say that their online and in-store experiences with brands are likely to affect from whom they choose to shop for gifts this holiday season.

On brands either being cherished or begrudged based on their interactions, the survey shows that 59% of female shoppers says that their previous in-store and online experiences are likely to influence their shopping habits compared to only 48 percent of men who reported their experiences are likely to influence with whom they choose to shop this holiday season.

According to the survey, those working full time will be the most selective with their cash based on previous experiences with 56 percent of respondents saying that their choice of brand is likely to be affected by online and in-store interactions compared to only 40% of those unemployed.

Henry Smith, Product Marketing Director at Emailvision said that “this survey acts as a reminder to retailers and marketers who may be focusing more on their offers and less on the overall customer experience. Many retailers may be expecting a pre-holiday spike in sales, but to earn this revenue they will need to create tailored shopping experiences.”

The online YouGov survey is commissioned by Emailvision, the leader in customer intelligence and relationship marketing.
