Yahoo Search Drops While Google Grows for April

News on Social Marketing, according to Brafton News, based on ComScore’s April search engine market, Yahoo search share drop again last month following a fall off from February to March with 15.9 % of all search queries to 13.7 %. Its most recent 0.2 % is better compared to the 2.2 % loss it endured previously, but still implies an increasingly bad position for Yahoo.

Both Google and Bing showed minor gains in the market. Each adding 0.1 % to their query volume with other search engines involved in the study. More or less, it appears like an equal portion of the 0.2 % left Yahoo turned to Google and Bing for their search needs. Bing with 15.4 % market share from April, while Google is approaching a full two-thirds with 66.5 % of the search market.

Leading news in the last few weeks includes Google and Bing, which interest marketers supporting a successful SEO practice.

Recently, Brafton reported Google’s update on its search algorithm penalizing websites using webspam, whereas Bing rolled out a complete SERP redesign integrating social media content in a different way.

LinkedIn is Essential to Determine Profitable Connection

Another point on Social Marketing that I have learned from this article at Inc.com is that, Industries considered LinkedIn as the de facto career management tool for professionals and without Linkedln profile you don’t exist. With Linkedln, potential employees can be distinguished and a scoop on a new client or partner can be obtained. Every profile provides a distinct impression that may disrupt a valuable connection, but with LinkedIn profiles, it is an excellent way to gain insight into a potential client.

Marketers would need a photo and time to market their company, product or service. Connections are essential in order to have as many resources as possible. The summary facilitates understanding the requirements on how to obtain success. Experience helps us foresee the career of a potential client. And the most exciting part of a LinkedIn profile is the recommendations, where endorsements may be lifeless, predictable, genuine or passionate comments.

In making conclusions, focus on reading and understanding your next prospect so to give you an idea if it can be the real, lasting and possibly profitable connection.
