News on Social Marketing, according to Brafton News, PulsePoint and the Economic Intelligence Unit insinuate that with the use of social media marketing, companies are experiencing wide-range success. The study reveals that social supports the entire marketing goals, some businesses consider it the reason in the reduction of costs without losing any capability, and mostly believe it increases its overall return on web investments.
Eighty-four percent said that efficient web marketing is the result of the companies’ utilization of social. Facebook and Twitter are growing networks with wide-range audiences which made them viable platforms for engagement and interaction.
According to 81% respondents, social media marketing brought about the striking growth in their brands’ market share. Site traffic and web conversions rise while gaining likes and follows which signify an increase of their influence in the market.
Eventually, businesses using social media marketing have four times more growth in its return on investment in their web marketing compared to those without social presence, PulsePoint reported.
In its recent report, Brafton said that more and more companies invest in the channel as social media marketing succeed across the web. Kelton Research reveals that 79% currently active companies have plans of increasing investment this year.

Twitter’s Acquisition of TweetDeck for over $40 Million
News on Twitter Marketing, according to CNNMoney TweetDeck, an application for organizing the display of tweets was purchase by Twitter for over $40 million.
Based on TechCrunch reports, TweetDeck is on the spotlight regarding its $40 million – $50 million acquisition wherein the papers were signed Monday but remained unannounced yet.
Betaworks, a key investor in TweetDeck, and Twitter reps were not available for comment but the company’s PR account tweeted, “For all those who are curious, we still have no comment on rumors.”
Subsequent to a management shakeup, co-founder Ev Williams was replaced by Jack Dorsey as head of product, where he focuses on the construction and getting-hold of Twitter’s most compelling features and interfaces.
In February, came out talks that UberMedia, the leading developer of apps and Web-based services has plan on purchasing Tweetdeck, but closing the deal never took place.
