Local and Mobile SEO Campaigns Prevalent among Businesses

News on Social Marketing, according to Brafton News, XAD reported that over half of local, mobile search clicks result in calls straight to a business. A strong search presence will help consumers quickly find a company’s page.

According to XAD, the targeted local search has a 7% click-through rate, in contrast to a 0.6% for displays ads. Secondary action like information requests, searches for directions and calls to the business has also been performed by 37% of those clicking on these links.

Businesses using desktop search strategies are increasingly applying the local and mobile SEO campaigns. More clicks and discovery among users occurs once a business focuses on relevant keywords and subject matter. When essential content reaches their searchers, then like other integrated campaigns, their SEO strategy is then very successful.

Google Remains Dominant on the Search Market

News on Social Marketing, according to Brafton News, according to ComScore, Google’s control of the search market continues to rise even with the significant updates done by Bing and Yahoo. Google’s share jumped to 66% while Bing remained at 15.4% and Yahoo fell to13.4%.

Yahoo’s market share loss comes as a blow to the company since they have just introduced Axis in late May to improve its search product. The loss shows that few users are interested on this new browser plug-in and mobile app by Yahoo.

Microsoft’s search engine continues to see small development as integrations and updates to its SERPs last month by Bing, also did not do much to slash into Google’s supremacy.

Marketers may start supporting their SEO campaigns to take advantage of new search features that will develop the best SERP experience for Google, Bing and Yahoo users. But the continued supremacy of Google in the search market shows that content marketing campaigns meant at boosting search ranking will most likely yield benefits when focused on Google searchers.

Meanwhile, Bing and Yelp has recently joined forces to bring content relating to a region’s businesses to those using its engine to find local results. For those relying on prospect and customer phone calls to measure web leads, local search could be very useful.
