Google celebrates Google+ 1st year anniversary

News on Google Marketing, according to Brafton News, Google celebrated first year anniversary of its social network, with over 250 million people enrolled in the service.

A Google+ app for tablets running its Android mobile operating system has been developed and a similar app for the iPad will soon be available. By having more mobile apps, Google+ can expand its user base and increase the number of content shared on the network.

To guarantee optimum functionality on tablets, the company has scaled certain Google+ features to give users of any devices the same experience and capability.

Google revealed the launch of Google+ Events, having similar features with Facebook, users can create events and invite friends and other contacts. Google+ Events allow users to share photos and videos to personally invite contacts.

Google may be adding calendars to SERPs since certain Google searches gives results that included links to searchers’ personal calendars.

The expansion of the +1 button was also made by Google to update Google+. Users that share web content can now see other articles, images or video that has received a +1.

However, a company’s failure to drive traffic to its social site may result to disregarding all these additions to the platform.

Google introduce new search features for Android Smartphones

News on Google Marketing, according to Brafton News, according BIA/Kelsey study, more than 30 billion mobile search queries will take place in 2012 and that mobile will exceed desktop search by 2015.

To reach search audiences more effectively, Google has detailed a series of new search features intending to make life easier for users of Android-powered smartphones.

One of Google’s adjustments is Google Now, a contextual search structure that assist Android users to keep track of their days efficiently and get search results based on customized factors, such as time of day, their calendar appointments and physical location. With a single swipe, searchers can now easily see the usual Android SERP layout.

While the move means that mobile SEO capability may not likely impact users seeking local information, general searches on the web will still be affected by search campaigns. As such, businesses must focus on mobile SEO best practices to increase their rank. The growth in capability of both smartphones and tablets strengthen mobile as an important part for the success of web marketing campaigns.

According to Google, these changes will come when Android 4.1, Jelly Bean, is released later this year.

Built on the reports latest data, including a page’s overall views, unique views, bounce rate, time on page and exit rate, administrators can determine which pages have the most success at drawing traffic to their site.

Results similar to the Landing Pages Report is created when the All Pages report is sorted according to which page obtain the most Entrances. However, users can see how many of the overall pages views are related to site entrances in the All Pages report.

For marketers, it is important that titles and headlines get the attention of the readers and be able to adjust to their preferences.

Measurement of a company’s marketing campaign is necessary to recognize and build on its effectiveness.
