News on Social Marketing, according to Brafton News, in an effort to have an edge over Google, Bing is working to integrate data from Facebook, Twitter and all of the leading networks into social results. Bing’s new three-column SERP is a simple, innovative strategy that could appeal to users with each of the columns containing different information related to a search query.

Containing core web results, the first column show users the search results they would usually see from Bing. Users can now notice improved standard results due to its regular updates and adjustments to algorithms.

The second column, called Snapshot, includes maps, contact information and other content likely to give users quick answers. Also on this column, the paid search ads purchased by marketers on Bing will come out in this segment of the SERP.

For the third column, users will notice a gray column that runs the height of the webpage and provides social results.

In a blind test, the new changes accounted for 43% of respondents preferring Bing results to other engines, compared to 28% think Google’s results were the highest quality.
