iTunes program speeds up conversion to digital files

News on Social Marketing, according to The New York Times, many people today prefer to buy music online rather than purchasing compact discs. Now, a program setting is available to slightly speed up the conversion of old CDs to digital files in iTunes by automatically ejecting the disc once the songs have been converted to digital files on the computer.

Pressing the Control and comma keys on the Windows version, or the Command and comma keys on the Mac, opens the Preferences box in iTunes. In Windows, the Preferences are available under the Edit menu and under the iTunes menu in Mac OS X.

Click the General tab in the Preferences box. In the lower part of the box, next to “When you insert a CD,” select “Import CD and Eject.” To convert tracks from the CD to your preferred audio format, click the Import Settings button and select MP3, AAC or another available format.

Track names and artwork for imported albums can also be downloaded automatically by turning on boxes on the General tab in iTunes Preferences. Clicking O.K. closes the Preferences box. Hopefully, this program will help you save some time as iTunes converts the stack of old discs that you feed and ejects them out for you.
