News on Twitter Marketing, according to Brafton: Twitter recently announced on its official blog, the details of a new profile layout that focuses on the visual element of brand and profile pages. The new layout will boost marketers overall branding and the visual side of their social media marketing.
Twitter CEO Dick Costolo said the most recent update aims to help people “bring more of their personality to profile pages,” and the change lets brand pages show followers more about their companies. He also said that these changes are mostly inspired by the marketer and user feedback. Twitter also gives users more options for visual content by making consistent improvements to the layout of its pages.
To launch the new format, Twitter partnered with the Today Show and the new profiles were given to the Today Show’s official Twitter account as well as to its hosts and personalities Savannah Guthrie, Matt Lauer, Al Roker and Ryan Seacrest.
In recent months, Twitter has worked hard to have a more consistent experience across all devices.
The company is also focusing on improving its profile pages on mobile devices. Sachin Agarwal, Twitter product manager said that like the layout on desktops and laptops, mobile users will also receive the visual improvements and that the update on Twitter apps for iOS and Android-powered handsets will start soon.

News on Social Marketing, according to Brafton: in August, 188 million Americans watched video on the web, reaching an all time high and accessed 37.7 billion videos. However, the 9.5 billion video ads viewed by Americans on the same month indicated a drop from the 9.6 billion viewed in July.
Companies increases visibility for their brands by making the content format a part of their marketing strategy.

The web gives advantage to marketers who make video a part of their content strategy as marketing content is often viewed by consumers and B2B buyers. A company’s standing and reputation on the web will also improve as they develop video material that educates and entertains prospects and goes beyond usual content marketing styles.

News on Google Marketing, according to Brafton : to help its search crawler detect news stories, Google announced on its Google News blog, the rollout of a metatag. This new_keywords tag allows Googlebot identify which web content belongs in Google News and ensure the articles of those using news content marketing reaches News readers.
Even with the advancement of Googlebot in recent years, it still can’t determine the importance of figurative language in certain cases. According to Rudy Galfi, product manager for Google News, determining whether content is news based on its headlines and URLs is still difficult for Googlebot.
“The news_keywords metatag is intended as a tool,” Galfi wrote, “but high-quality reporting and interesting news content remains the strongest ways to put your newsroom’s work in front of Google News users.”
However, Galfi reiterated Google’s insistence that companies should develop high-quality content to rank well in search, even with the availability of this feature. The metatag is a tool that augments companies’ SEO efforts, but it will not make poorly written content stand out.
For marketers, standing out in Google search can help increase website traffic and drive authority. Google’s search market share exceeds 65 percent, as shown by comScore and Compete’s recent data.
