Global Pages Provide Best Experience for Global Brands

News on Facebook Marketing, according to Facebook Studio: today, all brands working with Facebook can experience a new structure that provides the best, localized experiences for a brand’s customers with the introduction of Global Pages.

Depending on which country a user is in, they will be directed to the best version of a Page, allowing them to see localized cover photos, profile photos, Page apps, milestones, “about” information, and news feed stories from Pages. Local Pages for specific markets and a default Page for all other markets will be included on each brand’s Global Pages structure.

Users from all countries will see the same Page name (translated into their local language), fan count, and People Talking About This (PTAT), thus giving them one global brand identity.

In all off-Facebook campaigns, brands can promote one URL and users will be automatically directed to the best version of the Page for them.

In one easy-to-view dashboard, admins of the main Page will see insights for all global users.

This new structure is also effective for brands that currently have one Page or brands that have managed multiple, country-specific Pages.

In the coming months, a better global benchmarking information on your brand against other brands you care about will be available. Later this year, you can follow how each market is performing and compare your fan base on a country-by-country level with other Pages on Facebook through our APL.

Pinterest Announces Blocking & Report a User Features

News on Pinterest Marketing, according to Pinterest Blog: having control of your Pinterest experience is important since Pinterest is all about you and what inspires you. Basic features to control things like the emails you receive, social networking sites you connect your account with, and the ability to report pins has been offered by Pinterest. And now, a couple of new features has been added to give you more control, including the ability to block and report a user and more granular email settings.

Blocking discontinues both of you to follow each other’s boards as well as like, repin, and comment on each other’s pins. A blocked person may only be aware that he’s been blocked if he tries to follow you or interact with your pins since he’s not automatically notified.

The block user feature is located in an individual’s profile by going over the small flag icon on the right-hand side of their profile information.

In addition to the capability to report a pin, you can now report an entire user’s profile which you believe needs review. This is our new report user feature which is available on the same menu on a person’s profile. Once a user is reported on Pinterest, an alert to our Community team will be sent to review the account.

However, the flag icon might not be seen immediately as these features will be rolled out on the web this week. On the next mobile update, the ability to block and report a user will be made available.

A new granular email settings has also been added to control the types of emails you’d like to receive about your Pinterest account. This is important since email notifications let you know when someone repins something you discovered or writes you a comment.
